Frederick Anglican Calls a Church Planter

Canon Tuck Bartholomew is very pleased to announce that the Reverend Seth Zimmerman has accepted a call from Bishop Chris Warner to lead DOMA’s church plant in Frederick, Maryland. Seth has been serving as Associate Rector at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, for the past three years. Previously, he led a St. Stephen’s church plant in Bellevue, Pennsylvania.

A group of lay people has been praying about a church plant in Frederick for several years, and a small community committed to the idea has emerged with the interim name, Frederick Anglican Fellowship (FAF). In October 2022, they began holding monthly worship services with either lay leaders or visiting clergy, while praying for the Lord to send a priest for Frederick. Canon Tuck has coordinated the search for a priest planter with the FAF team, who met with the Zimmermans in January and March this year as part of the discernment process. Seth and his wife, Laura, and the whole FAF community are thankful for the Lord’s guidance and excited about what the Lord will do in Frederick under Seth’s leadership.

Seth and his family plan to move to Frederick in June. His first service as the priest for FAF will be on Sunday, July 7.
